Bowden's second team completed a league double over Irchester, enjoying a six wicket win over the visitors.

Irchester won the toss and elected to bat, reaching 146 all out. Skipper, Danny Varnsverry returned the impressive figures of 4 for 6, with Jack and Steve Bellamy were also in amongst the wickets.

Makeshift opener Gerry Horsfall then hit 41 as he and Varnsverry (35 not out) gave Bowden a sound start to the reply and Rob Gomez struck 25 not out to see the side home.
