Bowden u13xi lost out in a last ball thriller against
Loddington at Bowden last night. Bowden won the toss and chose to bat, soon being up
against it due to some excellent tight bowling by the visitors who took two
early wickets. The innings was repaired by Fynn Colley 30 retired out and
George Williams 19 with some late order hitting leading to Bowden ending up on
a respectable 89-6 off 18 overs. Loddington were kept quiet in their response
but visiting captain Ruban Singh played some excellent shots to move to 30 retired
out and take his team to the brink of victory. Bowden never gave up with
wickets for Dylan Pearson, Charlie Barkworth, George Williams and Jack Gray and
Loddington were pegged back late on. With 2 needed off the last ball, a
fortunate edge flew to the boundary for four, handing the game to the visitors.
