Bowden Pinks started their Last Woman Stands campaign with a comfortable win away at Geddington, following the first two matches being abandoned due to the weather. The Pinks batted first, with openers Victoria Earland (32) and Sian Pyne (54 retired not out) scoring freely at the start. The Pinks captain Flora England then came to the wicket and scored a quick-fire 52 (retired not out) including 3 sixes which all peppered the pavilion. Collette Wale (19 not out) and Kirsty Matthew (14 not out) both chipped in at the end with the Pinks finishing on 180 for 1 in their 20 overs.
In reply, Geddington batted bravely but were never really in the hunt finishing on 87-4. Poppy Gibson scored an unbeaten 50 with the wickets being spread between Matthews (1), Wale (2) and England (1).
This Wednesday the Pinks are at home to Irthingborough
