Bowden 2nds Vs Wellingborough Old Grammarians 2nds

Bowden 2nds first defeat of the season.  

OG’s won the toss and elected to bat on a flat track and were soon in trouble losing a wicket in the first over.  With some tight bowling, backed up by good fielding Bowden restricted the visitors to 68 for 3 from 20 overs.  After drinks a mini collapse took OG’s to 68 for 6 but OG’s tail wagged and put on 46 and finished  with 114 all out from 37 overs. Ben Wade taking 5 for 39 and Ryan Wilson 3 for 25  

After tea Bowden CC suffered early wickets and were 24 for 3 from 12 overs.  Jack Bellamy (29) and Ryan Wilson (27) helped to get Bowden back on track and were looking good for the win at 84 for 5 from 26 overs.  5 quick wickets then left  Bowden all out for 89 losing by 26 runs.
