After two disappointing results, a victory for Bowden has kept them in touch of the promotion places.

On an overcast day Northampton Saints won the toss and elected to field.

Despite what looked like bowler friendly conditions, Bowden managed to accumulate a credible 245 for 7 from 50 overs.

The runs spread between Dan Masic (55*) Karl Pollard (39) Ben Watts (30) and Tony Roberts (28).  

Bowden opening bowlers Ben Watts (4-16) and Joe Whitworth (3-27) ripped through the Saints top order. Despite a valiant effort from Nasakat Hussain, Bowden cruised to victory in the 38th over taking the full 30 points available.

Bowden travel to fellow mid table opponents Podington next week.
