Langtons CC hosted Bowden U11’s development side in a friendly at East Langton.  

Bowden batted first and were quickly under pressure with some fine fast bowling from Langtons. A stunning Langtons display saw 7 of the Bowden wickets fall in the innings. Bowden ended on 205 having taken a few chances to run.

Bowling for Bowden was wholly more successful. Encouraging performances from  debutants Ethan Rawlins , Jensen Colley  and Toby Christison.Backed up by good displays from  Henry Brammer, Sam White, Charles Lindsay and Lewis Fortnum.

A disciplined bowling display resulted in only 5 wides in 16 overs. Wicketkeeper Luke Barwick stopped  every ball that came through the batsmen.

However it wasn’t enough to snatch a victory losing by 20 runs at close of play.
