Bowden's second team enjoyed a ten run win over Overstone Park III in Division Nine.

The victory owed a great deal to all-rounders Tony Roberts and Mick Brammer. Batting first, the Bowden pair enjoyed a partnership of 150, as the home side reached a total of 190-9. Roberts struck 80 and Brammer 87, as no other Bowden batsman reached double figures.

Overstone's reply started soundly and, at 100-2, they looked set to reach their target. However, Roberts and Brammer's introduction to the attack swung the game in Bowden's favour. Brammer grabbed 2-52 and Roberts 4-49, as the visitors were dismissed for 180. Steve Bellamy took 2-45.
