Recently Bowden have produced strong batting displays, and found themselves fortunate after losing the toss, the hosts electing to bowl. 

 

Openers Anthony Paton (61) and Charlie Standley (27), put on a 66 run partnership.  A polished batting display from Dan Masic (82 not out) with clean hitting towards the end of the Bowden  innings. He was supported well by hard hitting Joe Whitworth (33 not out). Bowden making 243 from their 50 overs. 

 

Joe Whitworth (3-19) added to his batting display, he  clean bowled the first three Podington batsman. He was assisted by Dan Masic (2-28) and Wepener Groenewald (3-28). The final wicket falling by an instinctive run out from Charlie Standley at Silly Mid On. 

Bowden winning by 109 runs. Bowden face bottom of the table Kempston next at the Recreation Ground.
