Bowden 2nds had a point to prove after last weeks disappointing result. Playing away at Irchester, Bowden were in the field first. A good start with the ball from Euan Hackett (6-1-30-2) set the tone.Tom Reeve,first change bowler, proved to be too much for the Irchester batsman. Tom finished with 7 for 30 and this included an all bowled hat-trick. The bowling was backed up by a strong  performance in the field with 3 catches being taken. The Irchester innings finished on 117 all out. Bowden started their reply positively, veteran Gary Waterfield   
scored 34 at the top of the innings. This was backed up by a quick-fire 23 from Upul Soysa and the damage was done. Tony Roberts took Bowden across the line to give them their first win of the season
