Bowden miss promotion by 3 points despite convincing win over Raunds at home.  Bowden won the toss and elected to bat. With promotion an outside chance Bowden needed a good performance and the opening partnership between Rob Gomez and Fergus Kenny did not disappoint.   Kenny (125) and Micky Brammer (54*) continued the good work and kept the scoreboard ticking over with a partnership of 121.  Kenny reaching his first league century was caught in the 42nd over for 125. This enabled Bowden to make a declaration on 223-2 from 43 overs.

After tea Bowden needed to match the batting performance in the field to finish the season on a high.  The visitors started with a flourish and scored quickly but a wicket in the 10th over gave Bowden their first breakthrough.  Bowden met resistance as the visitors needing a win to prevent relegation kept playing their shots and scoring freely.  Bowden forced into making bowling changes and their persistence paid off and started to take wickets at regular intervals. Collette Wale (4-32) and Wepener Groenewald (4-20) gave Bowden the win as the innings closed 167 all out.
