Match report Following a false start last weekend the Bowden U11s played their first league game against Kettering CC on Sunday.

The team showed little rustiness in producing a fine win by 133 runs.

Led by captain Finn Carnduff, every member of the team played their part through their batting, fielding and bowling.

Asked to bat first, top run scorer was Sam Stephenson who was well supported by Carnduff, Sian Pyne and Sam Haynes-Coote.

In reply Kettering struggled for runs against the accurate and frugal bowling of Oliver Rodgers, Joe Pearson, Gregor Montgomerie. Top wicket takers were Callum Leat and Haynes-Coote. Two run outs and a fine catch by Pyne rounded off a very strong start to the season.
