Match report Against a very strong Kibworth A, Bowden should be satisfied with the way they pushed them to the very last over. Sayles and Cartwright made their customary assured start with Cartwright catching the eye with some clean striking. The pair were parted after a season highest opening stand of 62 when Cartwright retired not out on 28. Sayles soon followed after a well crafted 25 not out with the score on 66 in the ninth over. Thereafter the Bowden batsmen were unable to maintain this scoring rate against some tight bowling. Hobbs, Roginski, Dinsdale, Reuthe and Shellard all made contributions. Bowden closed their innings on a very respectable 119 against a bowling attack of 6 district or county bowlers.

Bowden bowlers bowled steadily without any luck taking only wicket (a smart piece of fielding by Sayles resulting in a run out).
