Match report A quite extraordinary match. Illston Abbey scored 133 despite the best bowling efforts of Dinsdale, Roginski, Winter Hall and Shellard and fine work in the field by Sam Edwards and Stephen Cook. Matt Sayles took the only wicket of the innings. The daunting total was approached in a very positive manner. Sayles and Jake Cartwright made, what appears to be now, their customary brisk opning partnership reaching 42 in the forth over before Cartwright was adjudged leg before wicket. Matt Sayles retired not out after a fine quick 25. Birthday boy William Hobbs was in no mood to hang about scoring a rapid 14 and his deaprture merely meant an opportunity for Will Ashley and Roginski to keep the scoreboard moving. A fantastic last three overs from debutant Bradley Horsfall and Elliot Dinsdale edged the match for Bowden with both hitting key boundaries at crcucial times. Another excellent performance from this spirited team.
