Match report The proud parents faces told the story here. An excellent performance by Bowden resulted in a win by 7 wickets , with 9 overs to spare, against a game, young Medbourne B. Bowling first Bowden bowled excellently supported by sharp fielding and excellent wicket keeping by Jake Cartwright. Debutante Eleanor Robinson returned 2-23, Thomas Shellard mesmerised the batsmen with 0-10, Jack Roginski bowled well for 1-8, with excellent supporting spells from William Hobbs 0-12 and Naomi Fraser 0-2. The pick of the bowlers were Elliot Dinsdale 2-15 bowling fast and straight and Matthew Sayles who returned his most economical spell for Bowden with three maidens in his 0-6. Thus Medbourne were reduced to 86-7 off their 20 overs.
Sayles and Cartwirght opened the innings with aplomb and made their highest opening partnership of 52 without loss before Cartwright retired for an excellent 26 not out. What a memorable game he had. Winter-Hall was off the mark with a crisp boundary before being deceived and bowled. Sayles retired after making a polished 25 and thereafter Sam Edwards, Elliot Reuthe with 9 not out, Hobbs and Dinsdale 9 not out, kept the scoreboard ticking over and ensured that everyone went home early and very happy.
