Match report Bowden U13s entertained Kibworth A U13s at the rec on monday evening and they played well in all parts of the game but still came second best to another strong side. Batting first Bowden showed their intent by playing positive cricket, always looking for the singles and applying pressure on the bowlers whenever they could. Tim Waterfield again shone with the bat scoring an impressive and well constructed 26 not out, this was backed up at the tail of the innings by a well struck 8 not out from the ever improving Elliot Dinsdale. Bowden closed their innings on 87 for 8. Kibworth struggled to score at the start of their innings, some tight bowling from Tom Reeve (3-1-9-0) and an excellent run out off his own bowling from Matt Sayles put the pressure on the batsmen. Kibworth recovered from their slow start with some big hitting and this proved to be the deciding factor in the game. George Thornton took the 2 other wickets to fall with some decent bowling, and he finished with the figures (3-0-21-2) but this was never quite enough and Kibworth overcame Bowdens score with the loss of 3 wickets.
