The visitors won the toss and elected to bowl on a damp Bowden wicket. Batting proved difficult as the conditions favoured bowling. Dan Masic made a determined 25, Alex Frith also contributed 28. But the highlight of the innings was Joe Whitworth who held the innings together with 70 runs from 56 balls. Bowden made a respectable 191 all out in 49.3 overs.
After tea, Bowden took to the field. An early breakthrough from Joe Whitworth gave Bowden a positive start. An all round disciplined display from Bowden made batting tough for Grendon. Man of the match, Joe Whitworth, taking 6 for 36 to cap off a fantastic individual performance. Steve Bellamy accounting for the final Grendon wicket with a fine run out. Grendon and Prims finishing on 175 all out from 47 overs.
