The Parish Council issued the following press release on 16 January about the Community Pavilion extension works:-

"As can plainly be seen from the photograph (dated 26/12/2013) above the work to extend the community pavilion is progressing really well. Shortly after the New Year work will commence on  of the existing roof to the alterations to the left provide a hipped end and to put a roof on the already constructed extension. Following the completion of the roof the building will be made wind and watertight to enable the original wall to be removed thereby linking the old building with the new extension. The works are progressing on schedule and should be completed on time.

Since the new year, work has kicked on and everything is on schedule for the new facilities to be ready for the start of the new cricket season.
