Club Christmas Do' at the 'Shoulder' - Sunday Night, 19 December - Be There!

07 Dec 2010

Globe trotters Sam Freer and the brothers Kenny might be living it up in Australia and Steve Oldfield might be in hibernation, but other Club luminaries will be at the Shoulder of Mutton on Sunday night, 19 December, as young and old at the Club get together for a Christmas drink and festive laugh.
The highlight of the close-season, the annual opening of Steve Bellamy's wallet, will be followed by the other highlight, the annual Christmas Raffle that night. Members will also be able to observe the new slimlined profile of Chairman, Rob Gomez who, through careful dieting and abstinence from anything alcoholic in the last two months, has seen him tranformed to just a shadow of his former self.
We all might not be able to enjoy the luxury of a global close-season tour, but we can still create a bit of our own sunshine in good old England this grey and chilling month by raising a glass or two to the cricket season past and the season 2011 to come.
So, make sure you get there. Oh, and bring your raffle ticket stubs with you. Otherwise Rob will be after you - and he can catch you now!!
PS. The draw takes place at 8 pm.
