This is just a quick email update on a few items at Bowden CC this winter.
The annual Christmas curry and drinks is booked for Thursday 16th December at Avatar Dining curry house for 8pm. All are welcome and please message Alex Frith or Anthony if you wish to attend and have not done so already.
As you may be aware, Bowden Cricket Club are delighted to announce we shall be entering a Saturday 3rd XI into the Northamptonshire Cricket League from summer 2022 onwards. The Bowden CC committee have taken this decision to enter a new team with the increased number of juniors and female players in the club making competitive Saturday cricket more accessible to all members of the club.
Bowden CC winter nets start on Tuesday 4th January at the Tom Flowers Rutland Cricket Centre from 7pm and all existing and prospective members are welcome to learn and improve their cricket skills prior to the 2022 season. We have 12 weekly sessions booked with 2 bowling machines and therefore this gives a solid block of coaching to players to improve their games prior to the 2022 season. A real emphasis will be made on individual improvements during these winter nets.
With an additional team for next summer, we are on the look out for new players or former Bowden players to return to the club. Please can all member think about any potential new recruits and invite them to the curry social.
1st team captain Fran Finnemore states "This is an exciting period of development for the club and we are looking forward to the 2022 season."
