Bowden Pinks through to Final

09 Aug 2018

Fielding first, Bowden Pinks initially struggled to contain opposition Thrapston Blues as they passed 50 without loss in the first 7 overs.  However, Ema Garcia and then Kirsty Matthews managed to get both openers out which resulted in runs being harder to come by – ultimately restricting Thrapston to 98 – 7 off their 20 overs. Both Collette Wale and Sian Pyne picked up two wickets each with the other going to Emma Wardrop.  In reply, Bowden cruised to victory with Pyne retiring not out on 50, with Victoria Earland also contributing 30 and Wale (15).  The Final is on Wednesday 15th August (at Burton Latimer CC) against Irthingborough Ladies with captain Flora England hoping to lift the trophy for the second time.
