Presentation night

Bowden cricket club held it’s annual after season presentation night at M h Golf club. Around 60 members of the club enjoyed a tasty meal and were entertained by comedian Terry Woodpecker who was ably aided by his sidekick Alan who had a remarkable resemblance to Fergus Kenny.

 

Presentations were made to the outstanding performances of the year. The awards were made by President Ian White and David Baily who is development officer for LRCB.

The first presentation was given to the club by Mr Bailey for attain reaccreditation of clubmark,mention was given to M Brammer for all the work carried out to collate all the information required in a short time to meet the standard.

Mr White praised the style and standard of the cricket played by the 1st eleven under the captaincy of Sam Freer and congratulated the 2nds on a hard earned promotion from div 10.

The award winners were;

1st team player of the year A Paton.

1st team batting performance   A Paton

1st team bowling performance S Keenan

 

2nd team player of the year S Bellamy

2nd team batting performance E Jefferson

2nd team bowling performance T Reeve

 

Sun Player of year S Gomez

Junior player (playing senior cricket)   J Bellamy

Clubman of the year G Waterfield.

Special mention should go to Gary ,who ever since I have been involved with club carries out a tremendous amount of work that the players do not see and is one of the main reasons this club is continuing to grow and improve on and off the field.
