LEE CENTURY SINKS GEDDINGTON

A dynamic century from opening batsman John Lee set up Bowden for a 181 run win against Geddington seconds.

After despatching the first ball of the game over deep extra cover for six. Lee continued to smash the ball to the boundary hitting 13 fours and 4 sixes. Lee making a valiant 136 before being stumped. Aided by Sam Gomez who hit 40 Bowden posted 253 all out from 46.4 overs.

After the tea break the evergreen Steve Bellamy took 4 for 18. using his experience and guile he proved too much for the Geddington middle order. Accompanied well by Sam Keenan and Tom Reeve. New found spinner Rob Collins turned the ball prodigiously with both leg and off break. Collins finishing with 3 wickets for 6 runs.

Bowden first team travel to Kempston whilst the seconds entertain Old Wellingburians for the final promotion spot in division 10.
