Weather Fails To Dampen 2nds as Promotion Is Gained

Bowden 2nds secure promotion for the Second time in 3 Seasons.


A rather cloudy, wet and miserable day, meant that most of the afternoon was spent watching the rain fall, waiting for a break in the weather.  

Having taken an early tea a window of opportunity presented itself and Bowden won the toss and elected to field hoping to skittle the opposition out cheaply.

With the match reduced to 20 overs a side.  It wasn’t long before the heavens opened again and the match was called off after 10 overs, Long Buckby scoring 52 for 3.  The game didn’t live up to the billing, as either team could have secured 3rd place had they won. Bowden completed their season aim to gain promotion to Division 8 was achieved
